Dr. Steven J. Lehr
Dr.Steven Lehr has been a part of Crete Vision,a family owned business, for over 30 years. He is a graduate of Papillion High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln. In 1975, he completed and received his Doctor of Optometry from Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Dr. Lehr provides vision care to all age groups. He has special interest in contact lenses and management of eye diseases. Dr. Lehr is a member of American Optometric Association, the Nebraska Optometric Association and an affiliate of the Eyegroup. In his spare time, he enjoys his grandchildren, woodworking and boating.
Dr.Deborah Bessler is a graduate of Leigh High School and received a BA degree from Doane College in Crete,Ne. She taught middle school science for six years before attending University of Missiouri to receive her Doctor of Optometry. Dr. Bessler is a member of the AOA and NOA. Her husband Chris is the defensive coordinator at Doane. Dr Bessler has enjoyed returning to Crete to practice Optometry. They have three children Cole, Reagan, Logan and in her spare time enjoys reading, jogging, family and friends.

B.J., Mary, Michelle, Katie - Optometric Assistants
B.J. joined our staff in August of 2009. She is married with one daughter Savannah. B.J. comes to us enjoying her ability to work with people and looks forward to helping our patients find the right eyewear for their needs. She has a degree in cosmetology which gives her an special expertise in frame selection. B.J. will also assist in front desk reception work. In her spare time, B.J. enjoys shopping and especially spending time with her family.
Mary joined our team in May of 2009. She is a native of Crete graduating from Crete High. Mary brings expertise in patient skills with her office management experience. Her ability to work well with people enables her to help educate patients to the different products available today. She and her husband Terry have two daughters. Mary enjoys spending time with family, her pets and outdoor activities.
Michelle became a part our practice in July of 2009. She and her husband T.J. share five children and have been a part of the Crete community for 1 year. She graduated from Friend High school and furthered her education receiving her insurance license and phlebotomy certification. Her customer service experience and willingness to help people is a great assets to our office. In her spre time, Michelle enjoys taking part in her children's activities, soccer and exercising.
Katie joined our team in 2004 and is a native of Crete, graduating from Crete High School and Southeast Community College with a Associates Degree in Accounting. Katie devotes herself to patient care doing corneal refraction, visual fields,contac lenses and other pretesting. She spend much of her time with accounts receivable insuring our billing is accurate. Katie enjoys gardening, reading and spending time with family, also, we would like to congratulate Katie and Jason on the addition of their baby daughter Alena.

Sue Epp, Claims Specialist
Sue graduated from David City High School and Columbus Central Community College with a degree in Music and Business. Sue has been with our team for 8 years. She has had 10 years experience in the Optometric field filing insurance and continues updating her education. Sue is very devoted to taking care of all of your insurance needs. In her spare time, Sue enjoys reading, playing the piano and singing.

Donna, Dispensary Administrator
Donna graduated from Crete High School and received a BS in Biology from Nebraska Wesleyan University with a specialty in Medical Technology. She has been with our team for 11 years and diligently updates frame boards with the most current eyewear. She enjoys frame styling and seeing the results the makeover can make in patients. Donna enjoys water sports with her husband and spending time with her grandchildren.
